To measure viscosity: Dip the viscosity cup into the material until it is completely filled. Lift the cup and measure the time it takes for the stream of material flowing out to 'break' or stop being a constant stream. This is the 'runout time'. Refer to the thinning chart below for recommended runout times for different materials.

The BATAVIA paint sprayer offers three adjustable spray patterns: horizontal, vertical, and circular. Rotate the air cap to select the desired pattern for your project. Smaller nozzles (1mm, 1.5mm) are ideal for sealers and varnish, while larger nozzles (2mm, 3.0mm) are suited for thicker materials like latex and chalk type paints.

Thorough cleaning after each use is essential to maintain the sprayer's performance and longevity. The detachable design makes cleaning easy.

1. Turn off the power unit and release the trigger to allow material to flow back into the canister from the spray gun.
2. Return any leftover material to the original container.
3. Add cleaning solution (water for water-based paints, appropriate solvent for oil-based paints) to the canister, clean the canister and tube, and dispose of waste properly. Refill with new cleaning solution.
4. Reattach the canister, air hose, and power, and turn on the unit.
5. Spray solution through the gun briefly in a safe area. Turn off the power, trigger the gun to return material to the canister, and wipe the cup and gun exterior clean.
6. Remove tip collar, air cap, nozzle, pickup tube, and check valve. Check if paint is present inside or outside. ВАЖЛИВО: Avoid cleaning the nozzle or air holes with sharp metal objects. Do not use solvents or lubricants containing silicone.
7. Twist and detach the spray gun from the handle. Clean the rear of the gun (a) with cleaning solution and lubricate the O-ring (b) with a thin layer of petroleum jelly.
8. Thoroughly dry all parts. Add a drop of household oil inside the sprayer through the hole for the spray tip assembly. Reassemble the gun for future use.
